Blair Witch House Condemned
The dilapidated old house made famous by the movie is set to be destroyed.
November 29, 1999
Say your last good-byes to the dilapidated old Maryland house featured in The Blair Witch Project -- according to USA Today, the house has been slated for demolition.
Apparently, the state Department of Natural Resources has ordered that the house be destroyed, calling it "a nuisance and a hazard." The Maryland Historic Trust could not find any historical significance in the 19th century house, which can currently be found in Patapsco State Park. Unless fans and residents can find a good reason for it to stand (and no, "but it was in a really cool movie!" does not count as a "good reason"), then it's goin' down.
We guess that means they won't be using it in the sequel/prequel. Unless, of course, the ghost of the house returns to haunt those that had it condemned in the first place...
