Fifth Element is a part comedy and action sci/fi that works very well. The humor is funny, the action scenes look like art, the costumes are GREAT, technoish music adds to the movie making it even more enjoyable, and the special effects are dynamite! I saw it in the movie theater, rented it (watched it twice when rented), and now own it on dvd. It doesn't seem to get old as I watch it over and over too. Its not as confusing as some people might make you believe (usually the ones who hated it).
