1) What is your BEST sports memory from either your childhood or teen years? This will include only personal accomplishments or team accomplishments on which you were a participating member.
My first homerun that i hit out of a ballpark...
I remember hearing the the air sucked out of the opposing team as i rounded first base... I pounded that one!
2) What is your single favorite sports event that you watched as a casual (or rabid) observer?
Tie between the 1984 World Series and the 1997 Stanley Cup Championship.. (Both Detroit-team victories..)
These 2 events are the only times that i've ever cried at a sporting event..
Seeing Kirk Gibson rounding the bases with his fists in the air STILL fills me with Pride..
And to finally see Steve Yzerman lift the Stanley Cup was an amazing moment.. The man is a true champion, and one of the last decent sports stars there is..
