1) What is your BEST sports memory from either your childhood or teen years?
* Here's the funniest: One day, 3 of my friends including myself decided to play "golf tennis," in which we substituted a golf ball for the tennis ball. Now, if you barely hit a golf ball with a tennis raquet, it'll go flying, so the trick was to hit it really soft. Also, the golf ball went right through the net, and, as I was playing the net, this made it very interesting, as I played with one hand protecting the family jewels. Needless to say, the golf ball got away from us quite a bit, pissing of this snobby fool playing next to us. After probably the third time our golf ball shot into his court and interrupted his game, the guy said "that's it" and hit the golf ball with all of his might with his very nice $200 racquet. As we watched the golf ball soar through the air, we heard a loud "fuck!" and we turned to see that the snobby guy had broken his racquet strings, and had a frayed, gaping hole in his new $200 racquet. I laughed so hard I fell down!
2) What is your single favorite sports event that you watched as a casual (or rabid) observer?
Any fourth quarter come-back helmed by Dan Marino.
