Flame on if you wish, but I liked the first, which unfortunately was played virtually arrow-straight, and really lacking in splattery violence. Well, this one makes up for that, turning up the gore by a factor of ten and playing for laughs. Best scenes (imho): the blood shooting out of the cop car's rear window, the ol' ladder in the eye trick, the whole dentist scene (I *knew* that glass was going to be a factor), the flying barbed-wire fence scene (do note the intestines), and of course the barbecue grill.
The only thing that kept it from being the perfect jaded- crowd pleaser, was the sad omission of Steven from the Dell ads. No, he probably wasn't asked, I mean damn, but STILL. Wouldn't that have been great? It's only a matter of time now before he gets it in SOME movie.
Btw, I know a value judgement coming from me is pretty unlikely to be heeded, but here it is...Anger Management looks like possibly the stupidest movie ever. Even the preview sucks. Why do they even bother MAKING "comedies" anymore?
