...make it pretty worthwhile. The bus scene is good (even though the chick who gets it is hot), the train decap is good (hell ANY decap scene sits well with me), and the Rube Goldberg jugular slice is cool as hell. However, on the DVD, you get the deathclock (which you can admittedly get online for free), an alternate ending, a little snippet explaining why they didn't use that ending, and the filmmakers talking about the prescreening, which was really enlightening. Oscar-winning? Hell no, but frankly I don't always give a shit about the artistic quality of a movie; sometimes I just like to see violence.
Anyway, I'm a big DVD fan now. Even if the movie is 98% devoid of any entertainment at all (i.e. Queen of the Damned), the DVD usually has deleted scenes and behind-the- scenes stuff which make it worthwhile. I'm sort of a documentary and "making-of" nerd.
