was cut out of the American translated version. It consisted of two pages of Motoko Kusanagi and a few of her cyborg friends engaged in...ahem...a little cyber-sex. Apparently, Masamune shirow was not sure how these scenes would go over with the American crowd, so he chose to excise these offending scenes. If you are lucky, and your comic book store is large enough, they probably have a copy of the Japanese-language original with the missing pages. The movie does not contain these scenes, and they aren't really necessary to the plotline, but it does explain why Motoko punches Batou in the eye. As long as it was the creator's decision to censor, and not the distributors'. Ma ire(Ah well...)
