I am a great fan of the book, and so I trotted happily up to my local 'plex, bargain matinee money at the ready... I haven't been so disappointed by a movie in a long time. I'd enjoy seeing Bette, Diane, and Goldie together in the same movie, but not this movie! This movie had none of the dark edge and believability of the book. I'm sur- prised that Diane Keaton approved the finished product.
