DeFord? Reilly? Mike, that was very complimentary. Actually, the voice I heard in my head when I was finishing composing that piece was Paule Harvey's as in The Rest of the Story.
But my story was indeed based on true events. heh. I'll bet that will put you off apples for a while. Your wife, having taught Freshmen Comp., is expert at detecting plagarism. I can assure you that as a creative person, I hold as sacred that one always credit other's work where credit it due.
Yeah, I made up the whole phone thing. And my wife thinks I'm nuts for posting any of this stuff, let alone spending 30 hours a week here. She didn't think the phone thing was funny, for some DUMB reason, but laughed at the above story.
