Allow me to explain.
If I was offended and "boo-hooing" over insults made to me, I would've left this site a long time ago.
No, I came to the realization that it's extremely time- consuming to wade through all the "You're spamming; No, you're spamming; Look at all the spam; So-and-so is a spammer" to get to any kind of meaningful or interesting post. I had hopes for about a minute when Mr. C deleted some of the crap, but now it's just worse than ever. This place isn't fun anymore. You can't even have flame wars without the peanut gallery chiming in with their "You suck" chorus. It's boring. You all are waaaaay too serious about this site, way too affected by words on a screen, and way too emotionally invested here.
I'm happy to read Mr. C's movie reviews and Culture War essays, and maybe even submit to the caption contests. But as for reading the forums---why bother?
