of course the North Vietnamese took over all of Vietnam in 1975 (during Ford's administration), but excluding the embassy in Saigon and some Navy ships in the harbor, we were gone.
Hopefully the Iraqis we're "training" now (what happened to the Republican Guard?) can do better than the South Vietnamese Army in 1975.. otherwise Iran will be expanding in a westward direction in the not too distant future.
