...why so sarcastic?
I brought up some valid points.
1) Is not the boy going to be used, ruthlessly, as a propaganda tool by Cuba?
2) The mother and father were divorced. My understanding is that she remarried, and left Cuba with her husband and child.
Maybe I'm mis-informed, but the woman took her son to a land where he could grow up free; we're sending him back to a poverty-stricken, ineptly-governed country.
Is that insignificant? Do the father's wishes (if those actually are his wishes) outweigh what's best for the child?
3) I don't believe that I said jack shit about material possessions, the culture of self-indulgence, and children starving in America.
And neither did Xie (God help me!).
Don't insert your pet peeves with our culture in where they have no applicability, gentlemen.
So, because there are children starving in America (and I think that it would be due more to parental neglect and abuse than the culture in general...but again, I may be mis-informed), we should throw another child from another land away like so much garbage?
How compassionate.
I rather hope that all that bile and venom was directed at X-MAN, because frankly, upon re-reading what I wrote, I don't see anything that should have elicited such a response.
And Eddie-Baby, WHO'S a "rabid anti-communist" that preaches "family values"?
Another point: Why doesn't Castro let Daddy come to America to pick up the lad?
Or is he afraid that Daddy will stay here with his son?
