I'm surprised that no one is mentioning the first (and creepiest) one: Mr CNN announcer suddenly talking directly to him, even fusing his own words with what the "real" announcer had just said (maybe someone mentioned it and I missed it).
Something like that would have been a good introduction if the movie had kept a sort of supernatural air to CRS and its game. Unfortunately, like the rest of the movie, they couldn't stay even remotely consistent, and so (for me) the movie wound up being lots of unclear attempts at suspense (which admittedly worked with me a bit, but by the end got to be just too many holes to buy).
