I think (and most of my friends agree) that the ending should have been something like this: After Nicholas falls through the ballroom roof, he gets up, locks the doors, grabs a baseball bat and starts smashing heads at random. The final shot shows Nicholas, dripping blood and brains, towering over his brother who is cowering in a corner, and he's saying "Game Over MotherFucker" -swings the bat - screen blacks out and we hear a satisfying "Shplaht" Damn those Hollywood producers.
