X-Man is a marvel. I'm continually fascinated by his Crankyland persona. He draws attention as almost no one else on this site does. His other idiotic rightwing cronies get little, if any serious attention; they are normally treated as the morons they are. But there is something different about X-Man. He has been playing a cat- and-mouse game with this site, for years, I'm told.

Admittedly, he's a sociopath. But sociopaths can be interesting people. Look at the way the females on this site chase him around. On some days, they practically form a harem for him. I think at least one woman here would drive to Texas and meet him at a deserted truck stop, if he asked her to.

And I think I was wrong about Twinkie-the-Kid. I think X- Man is right, I think he is grundle. Imagine grundle creating all those inane aliases just to defend and support X-Man. It's too bizarre! Just when I thought grundle couldn't be any weirder, I find that he might be X- Man's camp follower.

Personally, I think X-Man is an avatar, and that there is some kind of perverse sociopath behind this X-Man character. Still, he's a compelling and entertaining weirdo, even if the way people respond to him is a reminder of how dysfunctional human behavior really can be.
