I love Martin Scorsese most of the time and was really looking forward to this film. Great cast, sets, story, but somehow the whole gargantuan thing fell flat for me. Whether it was people getting their body parts cut off, making love, talking, whatever..it all had the same feel to it, the exact same tone. What's missing? If anyone out there knows, tell me..
