Being the shallow, simple, thrill-seeker that I am, I expected a science fiction flick full of brilliant special effects (after all, it got 1 bomb, so it must have something [although I found the 1 bomber "Lone Star" incredibly boring]). Instead it was an incredibly stylish, ponderous, provocative, fascinating movie that, surprisingly, was able to overcome its style with meaning. Probably several. Now my only question is, "What the hell did it mean?" And I don't mean the movie itself, I mean for me, for us.... Anybody got any clues? Go see it before it's gone. It only did $4 mil. its first weekend. Excellent movie.
