As for cults, what is the definitive explination for what makes a cult?
I classify 'Scientology' as belonging to lowest extreme of cult mentallity. They worship a proven liar and cheat. Ok, wait, scrub that, they worship the almighty dollar. Yes I know, this society as a whole bows before the sickness of greed that infests the infastructure of our lives. They way they throw 'members only' partys for the Rich and Famous that have assisted the growth of Scientology is so vulgar that it smacks of consipiracy.
However I believe that certain Religions fall outside the classification of Cults. It is a fine line. Leaving definitions aside, I see cults members as people who cannot and will not see several sides of an issue.
As they say, 'Blind leading the Blind', or something to that effect. I know many Christian followers who can understand several points of view, yet retain thier own beliefs.
