so i took my niece and nephew to see george of the jungle.at first i cringed at the thought of having to sit through yet another schlock summer kids movie but i gritted my teeth and took the rugrats in to see the show.of course they loved it because of all the slapstick and goofy characters and i ended up liking it for its self mocking attitude which was a surprise. like the narrator interacting with the characters and setting up some of the shots: 'and now we move on to the cheap waterfall set' or the native porters who after seeing the villain fall face first into a pile of elephant dung look at the camera and say 'this is the part where the evil man falls face first into dung and we throw our heads back and laugh' they look at each other and throw their heads back and laugh.sure its not as funny when you have to explain it but i threw my head back and laughed when i saw it. the dog-elephant was animated very well. i'd see the movie again just to catch that hilarious sequence. so there you have it. this movie is more crap for the pile but in this case its semi-good crap.take the kids they'll love it. ps. my niece is four and my nephew seven.and i'm three
