...about "establishing strong families". Did you ever hear of slavery? That was when people from different cultures and societies were enslaved, torn away from their families, forced to "mate" and basically saw the elimination of their entire language, culture and identity. That probably happened before your ancestors arrived in this country, so okay, you didn't know. Get on the Bus, get off Spike's back.
