Looks like you let your guard down, Cranky m'boy! You went and insulted that hallowed and sacred shrine of the extremely bored, i.e. Japanimation. Tsk, tsk! You should have known better! Now you'll have hordes and hordes of fanboys and "otakus" (which means computer nerd in Japanese)howling for your blood (which, scrolling down, it appears has already happened.) I really must say, as my friend is an anime-freak, I've seen plenty of 'em, and I gotta tell ya, just as there are bad movies, there are bad animes! Gasp and shock! Terror! There might be something lacking in the mature and unbelievably superior genre of anime? I know, I know, I may sound nuts, but really! Once the newness and novelty of it wears off, you really can see that it's just like everything else! Not that being a bad thing, of course! Too often, nowadays, things being like one another sounds like an insult, a tribute to it's unoriginality, but, in my mind, it merely means that the differences are more clearly defined, and thus, largely ignorable, enabling me to grasp it more fully, and, once all is said and done, it comes down to the good and the bad, and I must say, the good to bad ratio is just about the same there as here. Many people mention the fact that anime is "more mature" than American animated movies. Granted, that is true, but have you ever seen a real movie from Japan? They suck! Suck, suck, suck! They're either Kung Fu crappy, or poorly filmed pseudo-intellectual garbage! Uggity, ugh, ugh! Oh, well! Someday all will be appeased, and love will overflow into the world! So be it!
