No I don't think so for the following reasons, 1 He's Scottish and lives in Fife 2 None of his 'real' literature features characters, events or places even remotely associated with Yorkshire 3 The writer to whom you refer is in fact the celebrated 'extra' from the hit sit-com Third Rock from the Sun. He (Iain M) is in fact an alien writing about his home in a completely different part of the galaxy.
