That's pretty far out there.
Diana was a noblewoman, daughter of some lord somewhere. Charles wouldn't have been allowed to marry a commoner, that'd water down the royal blood too much. He wasn't even allowed to marry the girl he was actually in love with, this Camilla person. And she's pretty upper-crust (if not blue-blooded) herself.
