[I would read the next post rather than this post if you want a thorough explanation filled with "twists" because I spoil most of the "twists" in the two paragraphs below, but I sort of figured most people just wanted a quick summary of the matter.]
After watching the movie Friday night, I ended up on a beach where I caught this guy stealing a purse from a necking couple. I pounced on him, punched him a few times, was thrown off and he took off with the purse. The couple and I looked for him but he had disappeared into the shadows.
As most of you are aware, this is the second time in three years I've attempted to stop a purse snatcher with my bare hands (the first victim was my mother -- I didn't know the two people on the beach). I suppose I'm lucky I'm not dead -- he could have had a gun.
Yeah, "lucky." Yeah, like that's the right word.
That whole night was so bad that it was good and then it was back to bad again. (Those who have seen the movie will get that. The rest of you are just lost.)
As for the movie, there's not a lot left for me to add to it that hasn't already been said. It's a 9.5/10 (much like Lionel, I can't figure out what's wrong with it, but something felt a bit "off" the entire first half of the movie and I can't lay my finger on it). Go see it whenever it comes to your market (it's still weeks away from being in my market).
