whether the guy got away or not, you did the right thing. you confronted him, called him on it. think about it this way: the guy is going to think long and hard about stealing another purse. he's not gonna want to risk being attacked again. plus, the fact that someone he thought might share in the crime rejected the proposal so resolutely may make him question his morals (although that's admittedly a stretch). a lot of guys -- some even six inches TALLER -- would have hesitated to approach the dude. what you did was brave. one lesson i took from ghost world, btw, is that the world is fucked up, and everyone seems to go along with the flow without questioning it. for some of us, it doesn't feel right, and we feel pressured to go against what we believe. but when you do what you believe in you make it easier for the other underdogs out there to do the same. i think your going after that asshole serves as a good example for the rest of us
