2) What did you do over the weekend?
Saturday - Took my mom to lunch and shopping at the new Centro Ybor outside marketplace, mall, entertainment complex right next door to my office. Took her home and went back to work for a couple of hours. Then came home, made smoked salmon sandwiches and watched Stage on Screen on PBS. They were showing The Man Who Came to Dinner with Nathan Lane, Jean Smart. It was very good.
Sunday - Cleaned my floors, cleaned the lower cabinets in the kitchen, cleaned the bathroom. Saw my guy for a little bit. Made steak and fried potatoes for supper and watched Rebecca too.
3) See any cool movies? Rebecca
4) Read any cool books? Finished up a book by Ruth Rendall called Shake Hands Forever or something. It was okay. She's a fabulous author, but this wasn't one of her better books.
5) Go anywhere interesting? New Centro Ybor, see above.
6) What was your opinion of Columbus when you were little? The guy who discovered America after the Vikings did.
7) And now what do you think of him? A brave visionary, who probably wasn't the nicest man in the world, but he did get money out of the government to finance his mission. And he didn't lose any ships on the way.
8) And finally, what ship was the best, the Nina, Pinta, or Santa Maria? Santa Maria - just because.
