Ok, I know how some people feel about this but I really don't see why so many people feel that interracial relationships are so wrong. I'm half japanese and half black and my boyfriend is white. Everywhere we go, we get stared at. (We live in Sioux City Iowa, the redneck armpit of America) Like for instance, Asians tend to stay with their own race and not DARE do the opposite! And most Blacks that I've known would rather stay with their own race as well. Me personally, (before I met Nathan) would date any man no matter what race he was. I feel that love is color blind and that it shouldn't matter what color or nationality you are or the person you're interested in. The last relationship I was in was with a white man and he and I didn't stay together for very long. His family liked me but his friends didn't. They would go around saying "Oh yeah, Bill's datin this black chick" or "oh my god, is he with HER??" Shit like that. At first, it hurt my feelings very much cuz he eventually shown his true colors about us. So to make a long story short, we broke up cuz I felt that he was too embraressed to be seen with me in public by his so called 'friends'. And to make matters even worse, he was. I guess I really shouldn't be worried about this anymore now that I have a respectful and loving man in my life now who doesn't give a rat's tail about my race. But I just don't understand why some people have this preconceived concept that interracial relationships are so sick and wrong and that there should be a LAW (as if!) against it. I don't know about any of you guys, but I love to see two people of different races together. I know I probably sound ridicoulous (how do you spell that word?) but I don't care. This is just how I feel. So, anyone care to give their opinion about this? *And please, if you're going to flame me, don't bother cuz I won't listen. So don't.*
