Actually, I pretty much enjoyed this movie. I think for most girls and maybe some guys it touched the center of that aching feeling most of us feel. I also think the underlying message was about psychiatrists, that they really don't know it all, and about insanity, I don't think all those girls were really crazy I just think they had special needs that people just don't cater to in everyday lives. I think that Wynona's acting was better than Angelina Jolie's, I think Angelina did make it too obvious she was pretty much enjoying that role, but I really think her character fit the part and I do still like her very much as an an actress, best flick with her in it, The bone collector. What I liked about girl interrupted was that the movie wasn't just about being "crazy", it was also a lesson about life and this world, it's not understandable and chaotic, just like the feelings that stir in us every day that do not understand for those who have special "needs". It was also about facing the truth and how much it hurts, I think Lisa's thinking was right. But for pessimists, it doesn't end there so don't worry and keep ya head up. Don't bash the movie, just be prepared to feel like gasping for air for the girls stuck at the mental ward, and a need to save each and every one of them. At least I felt that.
