Its a style of filming, meant to imply action. I had no trouble being able to tell what was happening in the fight scenes. If you did, perhaos you need to get closer to the screen or get some glasses. As for the movie having bad acting, I find reacently that any film which makes an attempt at being dramatic is automatically assumed to have bad acting. Unless the film is set in a modern household filled with bad jokes, "these people can't act." Please. Bad acting is Dude Wheres my Car? Gladiator is a fine film. Even cranky only gave it two bombs, that is saying something.
