Not sure what you are on about with the Australian ref

Russell Crowe is a New Zealander (just look him up on the IMDB)

and Mel Gibson is an American

Both of them did spend some of their child hood in Australia.

And doesn't Russell sound like Sean Connery. As a roman he would be more convincing doing a Brando accent or Wogboy (oz ethnic film).

So y'all seen holy smoke yet - pomme Kate playing Aussie, not too badly.
