The two-week break seems to have done The Onion's writers some good. The current edition is the best they've produced for ages -- perhaps even better than last year's excellent post-election edition.
The last line of the 'God clarifies don't kill rule' adds poignancy to satire without sounding too homespun.
Humour with a conscience at its finest.
