The Romans had like 180 days worth of holidays a year. I think we need to catch up with our ancestral decrepitness.
For example, I was able to take today off for Yom Kippur. We had last Tuesday off for Rosh Hashana. And we have the usual Labor Day, Memorial Day, Christmas, etc... But this is not enough.
It's time to start incorporating holidays of all religions. Fuck it, I want Hindu Holidays. Catholic Holidays (Isn't every other day a Catholic Holiday??) Shinto Holidays. Native American Indian Holidays. Hell, Islam isn't very popular now but think of the bright side -- we could take the entire month of March off!
And Slater, consider the fact that many of these are drinking holidays!!
What the hell is the point of having a giant, lethargic, materialistic nation state without some more freakin holidays?
