-On the semi-automatic issue: Sorry, got a confusion of terms over some bad info and writing very fast. Actually, it is machine guns that you need a special permit for, not semi-automatics. As for what the kids used, I'm getting conflicting reports about machine guns, sawed off shotguns, revolvers, and others. But anyway, Discord, yes, the point I was making is that gun control would have not changed this. It relatively easy to get illegal guns, if you know where to look. These guys were gun aficionados, so... And yes, Wulfgar, illegal weapons should be the concern...
-On teachers: I've known nice people who haved popped once becoming teachers because the kids were snots. But I've also known (and had) people who were teachers and always mistreated the students, based on pseudo-militaristic educational ideology (:"the best school is boot camp!"), or their own insanities (some teachers are REALLY fucked up people, just like in any profession)... However, even if the person was nice to the students and got offended by a few jerks, the teacher should only mistreat the jerks, not ALL the students. But the majority do not understand that...
-On killing annoying people: Different people will have different reactions on how to deal with peer pressure, and attacks/ridicule by peers. Some will shrug it off, others will only be slightly affected, others will collapse (particularly those with not many supportive friends and a no place to escape to or a bad environment to return to)... BUT considering killing someone is not something that you should be ashamed of. It is within the animal side of the human mind, in particular as part of defense mechanisms, or just rage (hey, who here has NEVER thought even for a brief second in their life on killing someone, even if not well thought out or seriously? You're either lying or more screwed up than the people you are criticizing). What someone may debate is to be or not be ashamed of having actually tried to kill the jerks... Hey, and shouldn't the jerks who torture other be ashamed by their actions? Oh, wait, sorry, they're "immature", it isn't their fault, unlike the very mature people who killed them...
By the way, I am not condoning what the two idiots did, so don't start barking up that tree...
