This movie chilled me to my bones and gave me nightmares for many years. Not because of the violence, vendettas, or horse head under the covers (actually, that DID upset me)...what scared me to death was the message, repeated throughout the film, that once you got yourself involved with an organization like the Sicilian Brotherhood, albeit innocently, accidentally, or deliberately, the only way out (should you finally realize you were REALLY REALLY DOING WRONG) was death. What a waste of life! I thank the movie for teaching me that.
