Just in case you hadn't noticed, there is a significant difference between the script for THE GODFATHER and book. Since Lucy Mancini's move to Vegas was never even mentioned in the script (as it was a rather dull book subplot, in my opinion), why the FUCK would the filmmakers give a tin shit about whether or not Lucy never had a child by Sonny? The same is applied to all of your arguments. If they haven't read the book, a viewer doesn't know or care about the things you point out, so whatever point you're laboring to make is no point at all.
And as for the pronuciation of the Italian in the film, you have to remember that you are dealing with Sicilians, who have their own dialect based on the Italian language. So if their pronunciation isn't what you learned in school, it's because you don't speak the language.
