Saying that without Woltz's and Moe Greene's killing the movie would be devoted of plot or action is utter insanity. Woltz's killing is not even part of the plot of the movie. The first 30 min of film are just an introduction, and the Woltz's story is just there to show what the Corleone guys are capable of doing. The plot only starts right after the horse's head is chopped off, when the action moves back to NY and the "Turk" comes. Woltz is completely forgotten for the rest of the movie! Same for Moe Green: He is in Vegas, and the family's presence there is only important towards the end of the movie. HE is only introduced as a character in the last 20 min.!! A list of killings in the film that would still make up for a lot of action: Sonny Corleone, Carlo Rizzi, Luca Brasi, Phillip Tataglia, Don Barzini, Cap McClusky, Virgil Solozzo, Appolonia, Fabricio, and the attempt on Vito Corleone's death. A lot more going on than a bunch of Italian guys talking. Really, did you sleep throuth 1 1/2 hours of film???
