"The Godfather" is a CLASSIC film. Truely one of the greatest films make in America. Well written, wonderful acting (especially Pacino and Brando) beautifully photographed and brilliantly directed by Coppola. I have seen it over a dozen times. I am sure that this Mr Cranky has seen it maybe once, probably on video and with the living room lights on and crying kids all around, the phone ringing etc. Clearly he totally missed the plot. "Godfather II" is actually even better! It's rare that a sequel is better than the orginal but Coppola topped himself (not with Godfather III though which is quite a disappointment).
