This movie was idiotic, but the opening sequence featuring actual footage of early hydrogen bomb test explosions was absolute dynamite. One shot in particular - a row of iguanas watching a fireball rise into the sky - moved me to tears. I spent the rest of the movie, once again, hoping against the odds that all of the annoying characters would get their heads ripped off.
