1) Does Godzilla deserve the title "King of the Monsters"? Why or why not?
Godzilla's the king of the Japanese monsters by far; however, King Kong is the king of the American monsters (he came first)
2) Leaving aside Godzilla, who's your favorite giant monster? Why?
Rodan, because he's a bad-ass pterodactyl

The really dorky version of Godzilla's son (I'm thinking of the version from Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla)

The dullest was the American Godzilla movie; the worst was probably Godzilla's Revenge, which combined cheezy stock footage from better Godzilla movies and a really lame plot about an annoying kid who dreams about hanging out on Monster Island with Godzilla's son
5) Obviously Ebirah (the giant lobster in Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster) would be the tastiest giant monster (a little melted garlic butter and you're good to go); after him/her, what monster would be tastiest and why? Who would be the *least* tasty and why?
Second tastiest - Gamera (nothing beats giant turtle soup)
Least tasty - Mecha-Godzilla (who'd want to eat a robot?)
6) More annoying American abroad; Nick Adams in Monster Zero, or Raymond Burr in Godzilla?
Raymond Burr - he was just added for the American version (and reprised his role in the much-maligned Godzilla 1985)

Hmmm - well, Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla did have a wierd helmut which the scientists used to try and control Godzilla...

Silly, but what the hell (though he should sometimes go back to being nature's wrath)

King Kong vs. T-Rex in the original King Kong

Lamest - just about anything from King Kong Lives
Silliest - Godzilla gliding on his tail (from the one with Jet Jaguar)

The dinosaurs from Jurassic Park - damn good animatronics

Most of the effects from the Gamera flicks

Not really...

Never saw War of the Gargantuas, but Jet Jaguar's theme is pretty damn silly...

Godzilla, no contest - Godzilla's more of a bad-ass while "Gamera saves children"

San Francisco - I live near there and I can't think of a single movie where it gets destroyed (apart from the old Clark Gable flick Earthquake)

Oh yeah - not as cool as the native chicks who hang out with Mothera (am I the only one who thinks those 6-inch chicks are really hot?)

Mighty Joe Young (from the Disney movie of a few years ago) - he's just a big ape

Never saw King Kong Escapes (is that an American or Japanese flick?), so I'll have to go with Mecha Godzilla.

No - I don't think Japan is as lawsuit-happy as the US...
25) As I'm sure you've all been focusing on Japan and the USA; who's the best monster from somewhere other than Japan and the USA?
Hmmm - I can't think of many monster movies produced outside of the US and Japan...
