I went to see this movie one evening with a friend and was disappointed. I hadn't expected it to be all that impressive in the first place, but it was the first movie I've seen in a long time (excluding Road Trip which I saw with DMagic), so I was looking forward to it.
Thoroughly unmemorable performances (even by the usually fucking amazing Ms. Jolie). Unmemorable story. Repetitive, uncreative, and BOOOOO-RING. My God, was it boring. Okay, they're stealing cars. Okay, they have to steal 50 cars. Okay, they're down to 49. Down to 48. Now 47. They're still stealing cars. 46. 45, 44, 43. More car-stealing. For God's sake, he could have made it 3 cars just so we'd get out of the theatre faster!
I was so relieved when the movie finally ended and I could go get an Electric Lemonade at Fridays (an ungodly blue-colored drink with vodka and curacao).
Well, all, just thought I'd check in. I'm incredibly busy. Believe it or not, I'm working as a receptionist (I know, I know) at First American Title in Naples. It's a temporary thing, and at least I'm able to make my car payment on time. (Oh, and technically, I'm not a receptionist. I swear to God, I'm not making this up, my official title is "Director of First Impressions." Hilarious, right? I wear dresses and bake cookies. Before you know it I'll be married with a mortgage payment, a white picket fence and a dog named Spot. Ugh.) I just leased a brand new car (my first) - a 2000 silver Saturn SL. Things are going pretty well, and I'm trying to decide what to do with the rest of my life. Law school? Grad school? Film school? Running away to be a pirate on the high seas? Everything's an option at this point.
I've gotta get back to work.
Later all
Nicole :)
