You have two people, one was a law abiding citizen who lived their lives, got sick, and ended up in a state of being unable to do just about anything. While this person made clear her wish to have the hospital pull the plug to her spouse, her parents were not quite willing to go along with that.
The other, is basically a rapist who goes for nine year old little girls, kills people, and generally does not behave himself.
The first, promises to be a burden to her family. They have money, and caring for her will basically cure this condition. That she expressed her wishes to her husband, has not really entered into this, as quite frankly, what she wanted is irrelevant. The money people will make off of keeping her alive is all that matters.
The second, promises to be a burden to society in general as he gets let out, repeats his crimes, gets caught and ends up costing the tax payer money to support right up until he is let out again.
One of these has the right to die. Choose.
