04/12/07: This is why nobody hires blacks, esp. black women

Instead of doing what normal people would do, which is give Imus the finger and not give him the pleasure of a reaction, they start marching and filing lawsuits and crying a river about how they can't get on with their lives because they're so offended. Then the 'offended minority industry' gets into gear to try to extort whatever money or other concessions they can get. Sharpton's even talking big talk about how he's going to set broadcast standards to make sure nobody's ever offended again.

Ordinary racial prejudice in business has disappeared but it has been replaced by a fear of that lawsuit waiting to happen. This backlash is incredibly unfair to the majority of black people who are trying to get somewhere, but they have the Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson racial politics parasites to thank.

I don't ordinarily agree with Howard Stern but he's 100% right about how Imus, by showing weakness, ensured his own demise.

I especially appreciate the irony of all the bloggers and media types who make their livings ridiculing everything and everyone but are now beating their breasts on this.
