The amount of radiation leakage from this event is insignificant. It's 1 billionth the legal limit.
You get more radiation exposure from having a smoke detector in your home, or from one dental X-ray, or from one airplane flight.
In fact, a coal power plant releses 100 times as much radiation as a nuclear power plant of the same wattage.
Also, fossil fuel waste kills 4.6 million people every year.
Some countries in Europe use wind power and solar power. But when the wind isn't blowing or the sun isn't shining, they import their electricity from France, which uses nuclear power.
Nuclear power gives France the cleanest air of any industrialized country, and the cheapest electricity in all of Europe.
France's nuclear power is socialist. It's built, owned, and operated by the French government.
I'm willing to admit that socialsm works in this case.
So why won't you anti-nuclear power people admit that nuclear power is actually a good idea?
