1) Worldwide, fossil fuel waste kills 4.6 million people every year.

2) In the U.S., fossil fuel waste kills 20,000 people every year.

3) A coal power plant actually releases 100 times as much radiation as a nuclear power plant of the same wattage.

4) You get more exposure from one dental X-ray, then you get from living next to a nuclear power plant for your entire life.

5) In France, an anti-nuclear power protestor chained himself to the train tracks to try to stop a train that was carrying nuclear waste. The train ran him over and killed him. This proves that the people who oppose nuclear power don't understand risk analysis.

6) Nuclear power gives France the cleanest air of any industrialized country.

7) Nuclear power gives France the cheapest electricity in Europe.

8) Denmark, France, and Germany use wind power. But when the wind isn't blowing, they import their electricty from France, which uses nuclear power to generate it.

9) In the U.S., just one nuclear power plant generates more electricity than all U.S. wind power and solar power plants combined.

10) France has the best system for dealing with nuclear waste. They recycle it to make more energy and reduce its mass. Then what's left over is all stored at one facility, which is heavily guarded.

11) Have you ever had an X-ray?

12) How many people are killed by nuclear waste each year?
