Seriously, I have yet to hear an argument against gay marriage that didn't involve the words "God" "Bible" or "babies". Hey, at least gay couples don't have abortions for birth control.
As for "intelligent design theory," basically, someone declared life to be too complex to have evolved (read: he was too stupid to hypothesize how it could have evolved) so it had to have been created by someone or something intelligent. Origins of intelligent designer are somehow irrelevent. Fact that it does not fit with any other sciences is irrelevent. Fact that there are no experiments or evidence to support it is irrelevent. Fact that Earth is 45,000,000 times older than the longest time period a human being can really perceive is irrelevent. Presence of vestigial organs, genetic defects, and other imperfections is irrelevent. Experiments that create precursers to life in a lab are irrelevent. The incredible ability of pathogens and insects to become immune to their respective poisons is irrelevent. Fossils are irrelevent. Everything is somehow irrelevent because someone said life is too complex to have evolved. In short, intelligent design theory is nothing, it's not even a real hypothesis.
I'd dig into Bush himself, but I don't have ten years to type up everything he's done wrong.
