I was happy they used the original theme song. So many modern movie-remakes get rid of the old music when they can.

I remember reading that Adams actually told someone he wanted music with a sci-fi feel, but also with an old-time travelling feel - "maybe with a banjo." Imagine his surprise that they actually found one.
