05/09/05: I've just seen HGTTG.. (Spoilers)

I thought the Vogon's resembled the aliens from Peter Jackson's 'Bad Taste'.

Stephan Fry was good as the Narrator, but I think they should have gotten John Cleese.

Alan Rickman was hilairious as the voice of Marvin.

Bill Nighy was funny as Slartibartfast. ('I told you it wasn't important!') Still,Eric Idle would have been good in the role.

The 'Hollywood ending' was OK. I think they should have instead have done the whole 'Resturant At the End of the Universe'.

Special Effects were great. The whole sequence in the Vogon city reminded me of Terry Gilliam's 'Brazil'.

Was that Douglas Adams as the 'Ghostly Face'? I thought it was the guy who plays Chancellor/Emperor Pallantine in 'Star Wars' eps. 1,2,and 3.

Not as great as the books, radio show, and BBC Tv series, but fun nonetheless.
