Had the producers of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, rather than making the film, chosen instead to spend their entire production budget employing a horde of thugs to travel throughout North America, stopping in every library and bookstore from Anchorage to Key West with the expressed purpose of smearing excrement on both covers and in between random pages of every copy of the original book they could get their hands on before returning it to the bookshelves, a greater disservice to the late author's work still could not be done. The only way greater dishonor could have been shown to the author's person would be to have the same group of thugs dig up Adams' corpse, have sex with it, then play cricket with the skull.
