08/08/07: The big question in the comments below, are they racist?

Some claim that they are, some say no, others say mildly, others say they are just caricatures of african natives.

All the animators were white, at the time blackface performances were similar, and those have been deemed racist long ago.

Then again, the stuff I see on Chappelle seems worse, but that comes from black and white writers.
