He's talking about "reading it was so damn funny I had to slap myself to stop, falling out of my chair on the cement floor". Grammatically, this says kitkat slapped herself to 'stop' (not to stop 'something', just to stop) and then fell out of her chair. NOT to stop herself from laughing and then causing herself to fall out of her chair or anything so meaningful as that.
